The Cat and Dog Grooming Experience Here in Miami, FL

Having your pet groomed might seem more like a luxury than a necessity, but cat and dog grooming actually has many significant health benefits. While our pets can groom themselves to an extent in their own time, they are limited in what they can do. Regular grooming for pets in Miami helps them maintain a shiny, healthy coat, a healthy skin barrier, and prevents their nails from growing too long, which can negatively affect their posture. Additional grooming benefits include:

  • Detecting growths, skin conditions, ear infections, parasite infestations, and more
  • Your pet will be happier and more comfortable
  • Better overall health
  • Your pet looks and smells pleasant
  • Reduced risk of ear, eye, and nail infections
  • Your pet grows accustomed to being handled and socialized

Signs Your Miami Pet Needs to be Groomed

  • Their coat is dull/greasy/flaky
  • They give off an unpleasant odor
  • Their coat is matted, gnarled, and long (which attracts dirt, debris, and parasites)
  • Their nails are overgrown
  • They are frequently scratching at themselves

Grooming Your Dog & Cat at Home

There are plenty of different shampoos you can use for your pet if you would prefer to bathe them at home—never use shampoo made for people, or Dawn dish soap. Also, ask your veterinarian which shampoo would be best for your companion. We recommend regular brushings to keep your pet’s coat free of mats, which can impede their ability to keep cool in the summer and warm in winter.
